This vintage carved ironwood bird is all smooth curves, deep grain, and sculptural attitude. Hand carved from dense, richly toned wood, the simplified form feels somewhere between folk art and midcentury sculpture, with just enough detail to give it personality without getting fussy.

The dark brown finish catches warm reddish tones in the grain, while the carved wings and tail give the piece a strong silhouette from every angle. Substantial in the hand and especially good perched on a stack of books, tucked into a shelf, or keeping watch from a console.
