Vintage Kelvin’s Treasures Whale Salt & Pepper Shakers
The catch of the day, and they have faces.
This wonderfully kitschy pair of vintage Kelvin’s Treasures salt and pepper shakers features two very pleased-looking whales rendered in glossy shades of seafoam, gray and black. One arches forward while the other throws its tail in the air, making the pair especially charming displayed nose-to-nose.
Made in Japan and dating to the midcentury era, they retain the original red-and-gold Kelvin’s Treasures foil label. The pearlescent luster glaze and hand-painted expressions give them exactly the kind of character we look for in small vintage objects.
Use them at the table or let them live permanently on a shelf. Frankly, they seem happier there.

At Next of Kin Collective, each piece is thoughtfully sourced and selected for its character, history, and beauty. Vintage and antique items are rarely in perfect condition—and that’s part of what makes them special. Subtle wear, patina, and signs of age are not flaws, but markers of a life well lived.
We do our best to accurately represent each item through detailed descriptions and photographs, noting any significant imperfections. We encourage you to review all images and descriptions carefully before purchasing.
All items are sold as is, and all sales are final.
If you have any questions or would like additional details, we’re always happy to help—please reach out before purchasing.
